Cristiano Patrício received his B.Sc. (2019) in Computer Science and Engineering from the Polytechnic of Guarda, and his M.Sc. (2021) and Ph.D. (2025) in Computer Science and Engineering from the University of Beira Interior. He is currently an Invited Assistant at the Department of Informatics of the University of Beira Interior and a PostDoctoral Researcher. He has authored +10 research papers in international conferences (IEEE‑CVPRW, IEEE‑ISBI) and journals (ACM‑CSUR, CIBM, PRL), which have garnered more than 300 citations. His research interests include the topics of Explainable AI, Deep Learning and Medical Image Analysis, with a particular interest in trustworthy and interpretable AI for healthcare applications.
